Ways of Meeting: Recipe collection by Studio 106

Ways of Meeting is a collection of 12 shared recipes by artists and creatives. As our first edition, we were interested in how sharing a recipe can be a way to encounter and understand another person.

Friends, strangers and acquaintances generously sent in dishes to our open call, sharing with us an intimate insight of themselves in the food they eat, cook, bake, make for others, indulge in and survive on.

Including how people record their recipes and what they may mean to them, some pages are purely instructional while others include stories, photographs, authors notes and a sacred meal that must remain so.

Please enjoy, attempt, adjust, and continue to share these dishes with others. We hope you find connection to someone you’ve never met.
